Welcome back for 2017 to all our friends.

Thank you for an amazing 2016 running season. Our May Mudpuppy Chase at Laurel Creek Conservation Area sold out all 1500 available entries, and our Mudpuppy Trail run in September was another superb event! Together with our community of fantastic runners, sponsors and volunteers we held two amazing events and raised over $60,000 for local charities sponsored by the Rotary Club of Kitchener Grand River. Wow!

On to 2017, we are back with our race, bigger and better than ever.

The 12th annual Mudpuppy Chase invites you to participate in the region's premier running event. On Sunday May 7th 2017 we will once again host a 3km and 5km road race.  We will be modifying all the routes to ensure great parking, races and participant safety.

Check back often for race updates, running tips, and running news!

This year's Mudpuppy Chase will be bigger and better than ever! We will start off the day with over 800 local students running our 3km fun run at 9:20am. These kids will enjoy the running with their schoolmates, families and friends, and definitely will be beaming with pride knowing they have raised a lot of money for such great local causes.

At 10:20am our 5km race begins. The race is open to all competitors. We want to help you achieve your race goal whether you are going for the win, a personal best or just to set a benchmark for the race season ahead. Come one, come all and enjoy the region's best road race!

Why are we so passionate about hosting this event you ask? The Rotary Club of Kitchener Grand River host the race for many reasons.  We feel that by putting on a top quality running event, we can raise money to help out our community. We also want to get our community active and promote healthy living. By a quality running event we mean: excellent race logistics, great positive atmosphere with the best volunteers, healthy and fresh post race food, technical t-shirts and a finishing prize for every entrant. We are runners, our volunteers are runners, whether this is your first race, or you are shooting for a PR, we know what you want to see for your race day.

These kids will enjoy the running with their schoolmates, families and friends, and definitely will be beaming with pride knowing they have raised a lot of money for such great local causes.
